A number needs context
A motor’s shaft output is not its electrical input. A 12 mA reading has no process meaning without the sensor’s range. The formulas and examples explain these distinctions so you can identify the correct input before calculating.
Scope and limitations
Calculators produce a numerical result for the stated model. The result alone does not establish equipment suitability or installation compliance. Cable installation conditions, motor starting behavior and pump operating curves require separate checks. A named standard does not mean the calculator is certified to that standard.
Examples are teaching scenarios
Worked examples are illustrative calculations, not claimed records of completed projects or site measurements. Replace defaults with your equipment’s nameplate and manufacturer data.
