Formula
Energy (kWh) = power (W) × quantity × hours/day × days / 1000Energy cost = kWh × entered TL/kWh Worked example
Five 100 W devices running 8 hours/day for 30 days use 120 kWh. An example price of 3 TL/kWh gives 360 TL.
Power is not energy
kW describes the rate of consumption; kWh accumulates that power over time. A constant 1 kW load operating for two hours uses 2 kWh. Thermostatic or variable-speed equipment may not draw its rated power continuously.
Why the bill may differ
Time-of-use rates, pricing tiers, taxes, distribution charges and fixed fees cannot be represented automatically by one example price. Enter your own price and use measured energy for a more accurate estimate.
