P_shaft(kW) = (Flow(m3/s) x DeltaP(Pa)) / (1000 x efficiency) Worked example
7200 m³/h = 2 m³/s. At 800 Pa and efficiency 0.65, shaft power = 2 × 800/(1000 × 0.65) ≈ 2.46 kW.
Scope and interpretation
Use the efficiency corresponding to the operating point. Electrical input requires motor and drive efficiency as well.
